Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Hegstad is a clinical psychologist providing cognitive-behavioral interventions. She provides treatment for anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, simple and social phobia, and post-traumatic stress. She also maintains an interest in the treatment of hoarding, affective (mood) disorders, relationship stress, and impulse control disorders.


Dr. Hegstad received her doctorate through the University of North Dakota. She worked in community mental health for seven years. She is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Psychology at North Dakota State University and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neuroscience at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.


Brenda L. Bratton, Ph.D.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Bratton is a clinical psychologist who provides cognitive-behavioral interventions to adults. She provides treatment for individuals with anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment disorders, and interpersonal problems.


She has a special clinical interest in integrative therapy (combining one’s faith in therapy), mindfulness, and acceptance-based interventions, particularly ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).


Dr. Bratton received her doctorate through Western Michigan University and completed her clinical psychology internship (APA approved) at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan.


Dr. Bratton is certified by the PSYPACT Commission (APIT # 16332) to provide telehealth services to individuals in participating PSYPACT states. PSYPACT is an interstate compact that allows qualified psychologists to practice telepsychology and temporary face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries. Dr. Schjeldahl is a clinical psychologist. She provides cognitive and behavioral interventions for adults with mood and anxiety disorders and behavioral problems, with a special interest in generalized anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, depression, panic, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress.


Dr. Schjeldahl earned her doctorate through Roosevelt University in Chicago and completed her APA-approved clinical internship through the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology in Lincoln, Nebraska.


Caitlin Pollestad, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Pollestad is a licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). 


She works with a broad range of sexual health concerns, including but not limited to: questions and concerns related to sexual and/or gender identity, pain with sex, low libido, infidelity, sexual health concerns in monogamous and non-monogamous relationships, sexual exploration, sexual desire differences, and sexual dysfunction. 


Dr. Pollestad provides cognitive-behavioral interventions to individual adults and couples. She believes treating sexual health concerns is a part of providing whole-person care, and doing so in a sex-positive way is crucial for our therapeutic relationship and your therapeutic outcomes. 


Dr. Pollestad received her doctorate from the University of North Dakota and has experience working within integrated healthcare settings, including the Black Hills VA and medical and hospital environments.

Jenny K. Frissell, Ph.D.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Jenny Frissell is a clinical psychologist who provides cognitive-behavioral therapy for adults. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders from an evidence-based perspective. Additional clinical interests include grief management, response to trauma, improving health behaviors in individuals with chronic medical diagnoses, and managing life transitions in older adulthood.


She is a certified prolonged exposure therapist and a certified exposure and response prevention therapist through the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania.. In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Frissell provides psychological assessment services. She has over 20 years of clinical experience. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her internship at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.


Cassandra M. Matejka, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Cassandra Matejka is a licensed psychologist and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. She completed her APA-accredited internship in Clinical Psychology conducting diagnostic assessments, psychological evaluations, and providing therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Matejka provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder evaluations for individuals aged 4 to 21.

 
Dr. Matejka is currently accepting new patients. She utilizes evidence-based interventions to optimize therapeutic outcomes for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and behavioral problems. Dr. Matejka is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Managing and Adapting Practice, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She finds it rewarding to help children and their families learn skills to navigate through difficult times on their journey to well-being.
